Wheat straw is made from 30-40% plant-based materials and polypropylene (PP). This results in a durable, food-grade material that won't break easily when used by your guests. Additionally, by introducing wheat straw into PP, use of conventional plastic is reduced. For instance, Sustayne estimates that for every 3,120,000 wheat straw razors produced, approximately 7 tons of wheat straw is saved from burning and 7 tons of plastic avoided.
